Life After Qantas (Bruno Schiavi) Delta's design is out of the blue October 14, 2004 WE know her as singer and actress, but the name Delta Goodrem is now set to become synonymous with underwear. And not because she's had a Jennifer Hawkins-style "wardrobe malfunction" while on stage. The pop star yesterday launched her own lingerie line – Delta by Anabella – following in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue and Elle Macpherson. The 19-year-old, who launched the $20 bra and $10 undie range for 16 to 50-year-olds at Double Bay's Stamford Plaza Hotel, told Confidential she met designer Bruno Schiavi on the set of her forthcoming film Hating Alison Ashley. They "somehow got talking about underwear," Delta said, one thing led to another and eventually resulted in the new range, which includes g-strings and push-up lace bras in both black and brilliant colours. And while boyfriend Mark Philippoussis didn't help out with any of the bra designs he's been, pardon the pun, "supportive" of the venture, she said. Delta, whose latest song Out of the Blue was released this week, didn't model her underwear during the launch, but cheekily revealed what she liked about wearing it. "When you've got a great bra and undies underneath it just gives you that take off your clothes feeling," she said."Not that I'd do it." The range, to be available exclusively at Kmart, will appeal to customers because they have "an emotional connection," with Goodrem, a Kmart spokeswoman said. And yes, odds are she'll be wearing some of her lingerie line at Sunday's ARIA Awards. "I guess so," she laughed.
